Alan J. Landerman, a partner with Colling Gilbert Wright, has over thirty years experience in litigation and trials, including medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, professional negligence, and products liability cases. Mr. Landerman holds an AV Preeminent rating indicating that his peers rank him at the highest level of professional excellence and the highest ethical standards.
Prior to joining the firm, he was a partner for more than fourteen years with the law firm of Parker, Landerman & Parker, P.A., in Orlando, FL. Throughout his career, Mr. Landerman has been specially appointed as legal counsel in representing clients in catastrophic injury lawsuits in numerous states outside Florida, including Maryland, South Carolina, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. He has also participated in oral arguments in all of the District Courts of Appeals in Florida. Mr. Landerman is a member of the Florida Bar Civil Procedure Rules Committee.
Education
Mr. Landerman attended Union College & University located in Schenectady, NY, where he received a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics and graduated with honors in 1981. He received his law degree, with honors from the University of Miami School of Law in 1984. Thereafter, Mr. Landerman had the privilege of serving as a law clerk for Judge Richard W. Ervin, III, at the First District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee, Florida. Mr. Landerman was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1984.
