Education
After graduating with a bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado in 1982, Mr. Willis was admitted to the Stetson University School of Law in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was awarded the doctor of jurisprudence and was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1985.
Past Career Experience
Mr. Willis began the practice of law in 1985 in Orange/Osceola County as Assistant State Attorney. In 1987 he began practicing with an emphasis in insurance defense litigation representing primarily medical negligence insurance companies and was a shareholder and name partner.
In 1996 he began representing injured victims and their families exclusively, with an emphasis in medical malpractice litigation. Mr. Willis then founded his current law firm of John C. Willis IV, P.A. in 2007. He now practices with an emphasis in all cases of serious personal injury and wrongful death. Mr. Willis has substantial experience handling medical malpractice litigation.

Mr. Willis was selected for Best of the Bar top 10% personal injury trial attorney in the 2005 Orlando Business Journal magazine. He has extensive jury trial experience throughout Florida and has obtained million dollar and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements, including a case that settled in excess of $8 million.
