Attorney Melvin B. Wright Achieves Top 50 Verdict in Florida in 2017

Mr. Wright was chosen for this distinction for his work representing plaintiff family in Estate of Sheffield v. R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in Orange County, Florida. Mr. Wright and his co-counsel, David Sales, obtained a verdict of $ 6,800,000 in compensatory and punitive damages for the family of a World War II veteran who was addicted to nicotine in cigarettes and, unable to quit for over 40 years, died from multiple bouts of lung cancer.
Since 1985, Mr. Wright has been practicing law in Orlando, specializing in wrongful death and personal injury litigation.
