Conservatives Support The Civil Justice System
While politicians are often talking about runaway juries and verdicts and the need for “tort” reform, real conservatives know that trial by jury is the last bastion of real American freedom. Trial by jury is what sets America apart and levels the playing field between average Americans and big business, average citizens and big government, the poor and the powerful. Tort Reform restricting the rights of consumers is an affront to the 7th Amendment to the Federal Constitution which secures the right to jury trial in civil cases. Juries protect the American public when regulators, often under the influence of intoxication by corporate wealth, do not.
