Distracted Driving Awareness Month
The National Safety Council says April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month for 2012. Every year thousands of people die from accidents caused by the negligence of distracted drivers on cell phones. Join us and the National Safety Council in doing your part to make your friends, family and acquaintances aware of the dangers of driving while texting or talking on the cell phone. Urge them to stop using their cell phone while driving. Set an example for your children by not using your cell phone while driving. When you get a call while driving, tell the caller that you will call them at your next destination. When someone calls you while driving, encourage them to call you when they have reached their destination. Tell others about the dangers of distracted driving. Take the pledge to drive cell free, and have your family members take the pledge. View these educational videos on YouTube and encourage others to do so. If you own a business, implement a policy on cell free driving.
