Have A Safe Happy New Year!
In 2011, the National Traffic Highway Safety Administration released data from a 10 year study that told us what we already knew. The deadliest day of the year for speeding related traffic accidents is New Year’s Day. It is a time to celebrate, to be sure. But plan ahead. Make sure you have safe travel arrangements to and from parties and don’t travel if you have a better alternative. Many people celebrate in their neighborhoods within walking distance of their home. Others designate a driver who will NOT drink alcohol and will be responsible for getting everyone else home safely. And a cab is far more inexpensive than the consequences of DUI charges, or worse, a serious accident.
Plan ahead. Be safe. And Have a Happy New Year!
