VIDEO: I Signed a Waiver at the Hospital, Can I Still Sue for Malpractice?

When you go in to a hospital for treatment there are multiple forms that you usually have to fill out and sign. In some cases, clients come in saying that they believe they signed a waiver at the hospital and want to know if they can still sue for malpractice.

Many times people confuse waivers and release from liability forms with consent forms, however, they are not the same thing. We have seen numerous hospitals having patients sign these release from liability forms prior to receiving treatment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sue for malpractice because there are ways around those forms.

If you believe you may have a case but have signed a waiver and would like to know what options you have, contact Nathan P. Carter of Colling Gilbert Wright at (407) 712-7300 for a no-cost consultation.
